Dear Sir/Madam,

I am totally opposed to the proposal to locate an incinerator in this community. My family is not convinced that the arguments presented stack up. Firstly, the technology for the incinerator is outdated and has been overtaken by other technological solutions. Secondly the economic drivers for the proposed incinerator are weak and this needs to be urgently reviewed at a time when every pound should count in the cash strapped public purse. Also, given current government policy on tourism, sustainability and environment, locating an incinerator on the shores of Lough Neagh is counterintuitive , counter-productive and contradictory.

As a tax payer, I find it unacceptable that there is a £30m subsidy even being considered for this project. Government cannot use the economics of scale argument as a rationale for less public services in rural communities whilst simultaneously suggesting that I should invest in something that my community neither wants nor needs.

Yours sincerely,
Antoinette-McKeown-Web-Sig
