The main submissions by CALNI to the Planning Department have been a set of reports issued under the joint authorship of Professor Sir George Bain, Mr Michael High, the CALNI vice-chair and Ms Aileen Smyth, BL. In them we contend that the submission by Rose Energy to build an incinerator in the Glenavy area is an ill-considered and fundamentally flawed proposal. The documents have been issued with the title of “Protecting The Future”.

We have also commissioned various consultants reports. These have been grouped together under the headings of Technology, Location and Economics.
